Franklin District Council has established a new online consultation and feedback community as part of this website! By becoming a member of the community you can give us your thoughts and feedback on a range of issues all within a confidential, informal online environment. You can debate ideas with other members of the community, reply to short surveys, give Council your ideas and know that you are helping us plan for Franklin’s future!
No Ordinary Consultation
The online Consultation Community is different from Council’s formal consultation
process. Don’t worry – we’ll still be doing that! But not everyone wants to submit to a public process all the time. And of course we want to know what you think on things even when it doesn’t call for formal consultation. The online Consultation Community let’s us do this. Once you have joined the Consultation Community, Council will let you know by email any time there is a new question or subject being discussed.
The online Community will allow for forum discussions so everyone can debate and think about an issue together. It will also have surveys and quick questions so you can cast your vote on any issues, even if you don’t have the time to sit down and write to us.
Who should be involved?
We want lots of people to be involved! Especially if you aren’t the sort of person who would usually take part in the more formal process. We want to make sure we get a good range of people so whatever your age, occupation or location in Franklin sign up!
Part of the signup process involves Council gathering a little bit of demographic information about you. This is simple so that we can see if there are any trends in what is important between sectors of the Franklin population. However none of this information will be shared.
