Change of refuse collection day for some households
Increases in the amount of kerbside recycling has resulted in a change to the refuse and recycling collection day for some Pukekohe and Mangatawhiri households.  A Friday collection is being added to the schedule. Refuse and recycling services will be completed on the same days. Letters will be delivered to affected residents and display advertising and public notices (with the affected streets named) will be printed in the November 17 and 24 editions of the Franklin County News.

The following roads that are currently collected on a Wednesday or Thursday in Pukekohe and Mangatawhiri will now move to a Friday collection day for refuse and recycling from December 1 2009;

These streets on a Wednesday collection day will move to a Friday collection day; Bob Craig Place,  Isabella Drive, Brownlee Place, Les Fisher Place, Capehill Road,  Pukekohe East Rd – between Golding & Runciman Rds, Cape Vista Crescent,  Prospect Terrace, Eastside Drive,  Reynolds Road, Edwards Court, The Glade, Franklin Road,  The Glade North, Hawke Place, Tokerau Crescent

These streets on a Thursday collection day will move to a Friday collection day; Abby Close,  Logan Road, Alexander Court , Manukau Road, Anselmi Ridge,  Matatea Avenue, Arthur Carwen Place, Max Short Drive, Aufidius Place,  Ngahere Road, Austin Place,  Northvale Road, Avonbrook Lane, Parvin Place, Avonlea Lane,  Pukekohe East Road, Basin Place,  Red Barn Lane, Bell Road Ridge , View Crescent, Belgium Road, Ridgeway Road, Birch Road,  Roose Avenue, Buckland Road , Rushland Rise, Carlton Road,  State Highway 2 – between Homestead & Koheroa Rds, Cherry Crescent , Station Road, Chester Road, Stockmans Lane, Cromwell Place, Subway Road, Crosbie Road, Tonkin Place, Custom Street, Top Road, East Street, Totara Avenue, Ellivani Rise,  Totara Place, George Crescent , Twomey Drive, Glenbogle Drive,  Valley Fields Place, Glencairn Place,  Valley Heights Lane, Golding Road, Valley Road, Grace James Road, Waynes Place, Homestead Road, Willowgrange Place, Ina Ville Drive,  Woolshed Lane, Jackies Place, Yates Road, Kowhai Place,  Youngs Grove
