Every three years the land and capital value of every property in the Franklin District are reassessed to bring our values into line with both the local property market and property values in our neighbouring districts.
Quotable Value Ltd has completed this enormous job on behalf of Franklin District Council. The new valuations have been audited and approved by the Valuer General. These Valuations are as at 1 July 2009.
Each property owner will receive their individual property values. Percentage increases will vary depending on a variety of factors, for example: current and changing use of property, location, property sales of similar properties, development etc.
Results from the 2009 Revaluation:
Total Land Value (LV) is up 3.3% (this is the value placed on the bare land).
Total Capital Value (CV) is up 2.6% (this is the combined value of the land and any buildings and improvements on the land). Chattels are not included in these values.
