Auckland Council logo. Building consent information for Auckland has moved!

You’ll find it on the Auckland Council website

Moving towards a single council
The councils in the Auckland region have been working cooperatively to move smoothly to the new Auckland Council on 1 November 2010.

That cooperation has helped us standardise Building Consent online information and produce a single set of associated forms. You can use these forms now at any local government organisation in the Auckland area.

Information for those who will move to Waikato and Hauraki districts:

Fences and gates must be of an approved design and be constructed from approved materials. If you are building a swimming pool a Building Consent must be granted. For further information call us on 237 1300 or visit the contact us section. Otherwise, download the brochure below. It gives information on the Swimming Pools Fencing Act, and swimming pool safety tips.

This is the latest brochure from WaterSafe Auckland that covers all aspects of pool safety from fencing guidelines to pool design and construction to drowning prevention strategies.
If you have trouble reading this brochure on the screen please try printing it (the text should come out much clearer).
