Plan Change 23 seeks to rezone land at Waiuku so that there is enough land for business development well into the future. The area that has been identified at Waiuku lies to the east of Waiuku, in the vicinity of Cornwall, Shakespeare, Waiuku and Collingwood Roads.
At its meeting on 25 June 2009, Council accepted the recommendations of the Hearing Committee. The appeals period closed on 13 August. Three appeals have been received and Council is currently progressing the appeals.
