This Policy has  been prepared to guide Council officers in setting appropriate conditions on the granting of permission to keep bees in urban areas under the Bylaw.

It is also intended to inform current and potential beekeepers of good practice beekeeping guidelines and of the general requirements and expectations that will likely form the basis of permission granted under the Bylaw for the keeping of bees in urban areas.
