There are two Community Boards within the District and these represent two of the four wards.  The Onewhero/Tuakau and Waiuku/Awhitu Community Boards both have four members and select a chairperson from within their ranks. 

These Community Boards are elected to advise Council on matters of local interest and to deal with any matters that are delegated to them by Council from time to time.
