Councillor Hayman is from the North Waikato region of Franklin. A medical microbiologist by profession, she has had a number of community roles and has been involved in heritage advocacy. This is her first term on Council and she will work to see that the Franklin District, stretching from coast to coast, retains its rural identity and maximises its potential, for both business and the community, in its unique position strategically located between Auckland and Hamilton.
